Cool Mango Lassi

by | Feb 27, 2013 | Uncategorized | 9 comments

When the weather is warm, day after day, and there’s no time for a swim because high tide falls in the middle of the day, then the next best thing is to make a cool mango lassi.
First take a ripe mango, and make it smile.

Then chop pieces into a blender. (naughty, stop eating those pieces! it’s all about to taste even better)

Add homemade yoghurt, and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Add manuka honey, straight from the jar (I don’t use sugar at all these days). Blend, and pour.

Here’s the summer sun in a glass, but cool!
To your good health!

    * Penny, not such a winter drink, but you never know . . . my taste buds are still tingling.

    * Joan, great to see you. Sun in a glass – I like that.

    Thank you Penny and Joan.

    * Lynley, it was slurpy! and quite filling.

*Diana, enjoy your lassi – hope you can find mangoes over there!

    Thanks Lynley and Diana.

Hi Juliet .. looks absolutely delicious … wish we grew mangoes here … but I remember those days from South Africa … and we can get mango chunks or whole fruits … air travel included – not good I know.

    Cheers with some coffee Hilary

That looks like a great way to start the day. I buy Manuka honey too but we have to pay a lot for it over here xx

  9. juliet

    * Hilary, we get them from the Islands or Australia. You must miss the fruits of South Africa.

    * Charlie, I’m sure you have plenty of mangoes where you are. The manuka honey is special too.

    Thanks, Hilary and Charlie.
