I have spoken at many conference and training events over the last three decades, for many organisations. Topics include seasonal resonance, wisdom and psychotherapy, and pathways to spirited ageing.
Endorsements from recent events:
‘Juliet is a warm and engaging speaker who quickly involves her audience and takes them along with her. Feedback from our recent Ageing and Spirituality conference was overwhelmingly positive with many requests for a repeat of Juliet in the future.’
—Dr Chris Perkins, Director, Selwyn Centre for Ageing and Spirituality
‘Dr Juliet Batten is a skilled and inspiring speaker and presenter who engages her audience in exploration of life experiences. She challenges, encourages, motivates and exposes her hearers to new ways of thinking and being. She relates to her audience with empathy and listens to them with respect, so that participants come away feeling valued and energised.’
—Kathleen Blackburn, National President, Catholic Women’s League of Aotearoa New Zealand
Dr. Juliet Batten recently presented “Spirited Ageing and the art of renewal” at the NZSDT Inc. national conference. Juliet spoke with empathy on the soul life and spiritual dimensions of our elderly people with whom we work alongside on a daily basis. Juliet’s approach is quietly uplifting, insightful and inspirational, a pleasure to listen to.
—Gael Ansell, Vice President, NZ Society of Diversional Therapists
Endorsements from rituals created for organisations:
Last June Juliet led a winter solstice ritual at the Mana Retreat Centre. The beautiful sacred space she created was a perfect support for her wise, inclusive guidance of a diverse circle of 40 people. We experienced deep connection with one another and the planet earth, as well as with the time of the year.
—Donna Idol, Manager, Mana Retreat Centre, Coromandel
The Auckland Branch of the Celebrants Association of NZ engaged Juliet to guide members through a ritual marking Matariki-Winter Solstice. We were treated to an intimate, warm, inspiring, calming and re-energising ritual which was both a learning experience and an uplifting celebration. As celebrants and ritual makers we are often the ones working to deliver a ceremony for others; when we were led by Juliet it was a pleasure to be the recipients of her wisdom, drawn into the connected sacred space she created for us. Thank you Juliet!
